Week 5 Results
So even before the Monday nighter gets played, Jack has the week all locked up. In fact he had it locked before the Sunday nighter, and maybe even before that. It’s a minimum 11 point week for Jack (an amazing 85% so far) which is particularly stunning since two guys are sitting at 5 for the week (38%) and another 2 are at 6!
In fact if you look at the season stats so far they are pretty incredible too. Our fearless leader (Rich) is sitting at 62% for the season while the low man is at 42%. While 42% for the low score is very typical for our pool, 62% is amazing for any pool against the spread. A couple of years ago the overall winner had only 50%. And even last year the winner (Rich, hmmm) was only at 56%. The improvement over just a couple of years is pretty amazing. We might have to change the rules again next year to keep it interesting!
The suicide pool was pretty boring this week as none of the three remaining players were ever in danger of losing. One player had Carolina who reminded the Chiefs that they do actually suck by racking up a 34-0 win, while the other two guys had Dallas. Dallas may not have been quite so impressive in their win over the lowly Bengals, but they were also never in any danger of losing. 0 down, 2 to go.
